Section 2 is online computer based test on aesthetic sensitivity for 100 marks. Test Duration 1 hour.
This is a computer adaptive test online with 40 questions
First you need to understand that is a computer adaptive test,
Every question is rated with a degree of difficulty, let us say to understand each question in the database is rated from 1 to 10, 1 being easy and 10 being a difficult question, so if a question in terms of degree of difficulty is ranked 5 that means if 100 students answer this question 50 would tend to get it right and 50 would tend to get it wrong, if a question is ranking say 1 that would mean out of 100 students that take the question 90 would get it right and only 10 would get it wrong which determines that it is an easy question and vice versa for a difficult question rated say 9
So at the end your online computer based test, you will get your scores immediately, after you finish the 40th question it will show you the number of questions you got right, your weighted score, your degree of difficulty, your weighted score is your score out of 100
Note the results of your drawing based paper test will come after a few days along with your NATA score card.
So now that you know the basics about a computer adaptive test, you need to keep the following in mind
· All students start off with an average 50 percentile question
· If you answer your question right you get a slightly tougher question
· You answer that right your next question is a little more tougher
· If you answer any question wrong you get an easier question
· So the test adapts itself to how you answer your pervious question giving you tougher or easier questions
· Once you answer a question you cannot go back to the pervious question
· Each question could vary in timing from 40 to 90 seconds depending on the degree of difficulty of each question
· Do not leave any question blank if you do not know in the last few seconds at least try and attempt the question
These are multiple choice questions with 4 answers to choose from.
Now that you understand the basics of a computer online adaptive test, this is the approximate split of the 40 question asked in the test: please note this spilt is not a hard and fast rule but it is an average, so you could get a slight variation in your test, however it gives you a guideline as to how to concentrate and plan your time to study each section of this test,
· Mental ability - approximately 15 questions
· Mathematics - approximately 5 questions
· English - approximately 5 questions
· Images - approximately 8 questions
· Architectural Awareness - approximately 7 questions
